Pro wrestling is a completely different world of its own. It is not merely a sport but also a spectacle. The pro wrestlers are not just athletes but actors too. It is so because the world of pro wrestling is incomplete without story telling.
AEW in a short span of time has given us amazing Pro wrestling content. We have had some great matches, Pay per views, factions, tag teams and breakout moment for many up and coming stars. Yet they have been some inexplicable decisions by the AEW creative. Be it the constant effort to get Sammy Tay over as baby faces despite public disapproval or the whole AHFO storyline, AEW creative has time and time again shown that they too have the ability to mess up. But amongst all the poor decisions, one question has been plaguing the AEW fandom of late and that is…
What happened to HookHausen?
Hook and Danhausen are the most unlikely duo in current world of pro wrestling (including sports entertainment). The former is a cold hearted assassin who barely speaks while the latter is a motor mouth who shuts up only when landing curses on his opponents. Yet, the two came together to get one the loudest pop in history of AEW.
The entire story of their friendship was so beautifully written and it led to the birth of an iconic tag team at Double Or Nothing (2022). Everyone expected that tag team to challenge and win the tag team titles down the road but here we are.
Hook has just defeated Ricky Starks for an almost pointless FTW title (more on that someday), and Danhausen was just teaming with Eric Redbeard (fka Eric Rowan) against the Gunn Club. What happened to HookHausen and did Tony Khan really drop the ball on this tag team is a question that needs answers. Ruining one of your most over act for no tangible explanation seems weird.
Whether we will see HookHausen reunite down the road is hard to say. As of now they both are involved in their own storylines. That question though still remains inside the head of every AEW fan.
